About

People Helping Pets started with a simple idea: every pet deserves care, and every pet parent deserves access to it.

In January 2026, a group of passionate animal lovers came together, united by their shared experiences working at community pet care events across Chicago, and decided it was time to do something more. Something bigger. Something lasting.

Today, we bring free, bilingual (Spanish/English) vaccine clinics for cats and dogs directly to underserved communities, with resources available in the languages people actually speak.

But our mission goes beyond vaccines. We believe in creating space for people of color in the veterinary field, because representation matters and every future vet should see themselves reflected in the communities they serve.

Everything we do is driven by love and inspired by the pets who remind us why helping pets helps people too.
